My musical journey began at the age of eight when I heard The Blue Danube waltz by Johann Strauss as part of the soundtrack to Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. After then I kept on the search for music that transported the listener to other worlds and came across Beethoven’s piano sonatas. Fortunately, my parents had already placed me at a music school where I could try to learn this music myself! My piano lessons led me to pursue more serious piano studies in Texas, The Netherlands and eventually to Toronto where I was able to complete a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano performance.
Since having completed my studies, I work on my repertoire for upcoming performances and in between performances, I teach piano lessons in my home/studio in North York. And when I finally step away from the piano after a good practice session, I enjoy time with my wife and son, Johann, in North York, ON.
